Spiegazione

I1 primo ed il quarto quarto si riferiscono alle attivita economiche prevalenti nel comune e cioè l'agricoltura e l'allevamento di bovini. Il terzo quarto richiama lArma dei Benso, Signori di Santena e marchesi di Cavour, che frrono infeudati nel 1600 di Isolabella, dapprima con titolo di Sigrrori e succesivamente di Conti; a questa insigrre casata appartenne Camillo Benso di Cavour, Primo ministro di Vittorio Emanuele II e artefice dell'Unità d'ltaha.L'arma dei Benso era "L'argetto, al capo di rosso, carico di tre conchiglie d'oro".

The first andfourth quarters reflectthe economic activitiesprevalent in the torvn, namely agriculture and the raising of cattle. The third quarter recalls the Arms of the Benso family, Lords of Santena andMarquises of Cavour, rmho were rewarded with the fiefclom of Isolabella in 1600, first with the title of Lord and then of Coun! Camillo Benso di Cavour, Prime Minister ofVittorio Emanuele II and architect of Italian Unity belonged to this distinguished family. The arms of the Benso family was "Argent, chief gules, charge of three shells d'or".
